		Stop It!© Sex Offender Database Software - Overview The "Stop It!"© software application is designed to serve the needs of both law enforcement agencies and the public. Stop It! is available to official representatives of state, federal or international government agencies who administer and maintain data for registered sex offenders. Stop It is the only commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) Web-based data management solution designed specifically for government. No other solution today can provide data base management with the government-specific functionality already built in, ready for installation with minimal interface design* The Stop It! web-based application is designed as a turnkey solution - COTS. The flexability of our program allows for easy customization based on your departmental needs. Our program staff will tailor the application to your specific program requirements and meet your deadlines for installation and implementation for an on-time deployment, while maintaining our cost effective edge.  Web Enabled Application Ease of Use Ease of use for both government and public operations has been paramount in our design philosophy. A logical approach and intuitive navigation allow straightforward access to searches, data output and site maps. Additionally, help text in each view will easily guide the user through the simple steps of obtaining the information they seek. This web-based application features a powerful searchable database of your information. Stop It! will access data via search criteria defined by the user. Data output is based on user specifications and can be tailored for law enforcement agency use and/or public access use as decreed by your individual laws and regulations. Data entry is simple and requires no prior computer experience or knowledge. The Stop it! application has the ability to automatically import your data via custom or standard interface tools.  Search Options  press for example Stop It! Search options can be divided by public and law enforcement agency criteria. For example, public searches can be limited to include only name, zip code and/or county. Law enforcement design can allow for investigative searches to identify suspects by physical description, partial address, name, or by range of physical descriptions based on age, weight and/or height. In addition, this application can also be utilized as an important adjunctive tool in the enforcement process of offender registration Other search options include Soundex, which allow he user to choose from an output of similar sounding names, first letter of name, alias name search, and any combination thereof. Special search criteria available include search by tattoos, scars, marks, physical deformities, exact age or by ranging (user choice). Additional search criteria can include license number, Department of Corrections number and other identifying registration numbers as requested  Search Output - Results  press for example Stop It! presents search output in alphabetical order in either list view fashion (multiple record match) or full view form (single record match). At the touch of a button the user can switch between full view and list view. With a simple click the user can easily display a single record full view (from a list) which includes any or all defined data fields, such as, physical description, address, registered offenses with accompanied penal codes, AKAs, tattoos, scars, marks and photos as outlined by your judicial guidelines. The user may also move forward or backward between full view records by clicking a button on the full view page.  Report Functions: Public Registrant Poster - Photo Line-Up Enhanced value added features of Stop It © will give Law Enforcement Agencies the edge. Public Registrant Poster (PRP)  The Stop It! application can be enhanced with the addition of this powerful feature. PRP formats a selected record into a poster that may be previewed and edited as needed then printed in color or black and white. The PRP may provide nearly any format and data output. The most commonly use data fields are registrant name, image, registrant classification, physical descriptors, crimes, AKAs, agency name and contact data. Photo Line-Up  This tool is used by law enforcement agencies. As an enhancement to Stop It!, this tool will allow for the search and selection of up to six images which are then lined up and presented across the screen. Ranges or specific search criteria with filters can be used to extract your data records with similarities or "look alike" attributes such as physical description, marks, weight and/or age ranges. After the search filters are applied, the resulting registrant photos appear on a photo line-up listing from which one may choose the final six picture line-up. The photo line-up can view by a potential witness and/or printed with choice of identifying names or numbers. Registrant's data may be viewed at any time by clicking on an image within the line-up.  Password Security Access Stop it! security starts right at the beginning (opening screens) with our dual mode password system. Dual mode controls allow for restriction of sensitive data in "public mode" as well as unique password protection in "LEA (Law Enforcement Agency) mode." Again, data available in public mode are tailored to your acceptable search criteria for public views.  Multi-Platform Access The Stop It! application is written with Cold Fusion, Tango, ASP, Shockwave designs plus many other formats as well as HTML with On-The-Fly output. These tools provide multi-platform access via UNIX, Windows, MAC, NT and OS/2 based systems using most available Internet browsers. This allows most existing office computers easy access without having to change hardware.
